Soul-Centered Therapy in Denver: Depth & Spiritual Psychology
You can feel an innate wisdom, but can’t seem to access it. Dr. Jennifer Moss is a spiritual psychologist who helps rediscover the “you” that’s always been there.
“I’m not here to help people become different who they are. I’m here to just help people clear out the stuff and be themselves.”
“You've done the work. Something still feels in the way.”
You go through each day with a list of to-dos, some of them to manage others, and some to plan trips or events. There might be something to do for yourself, such as “go to the gym” or “get a haircut”.
You may not realize that you’ve been “molded” into this person you are seeing. Through generations of experiences, your family norms and cultural expectations have shaped who you’ve become. Some of that has served you well, but some of that molding has outlived its usefulness. You want something different, something more.
Think about a stream that has fallen logs in the water. They change the flow, sometimes redirecting in a useful way, or sometimes they block the free-flowing energy of the water. When those logs are removed, allow the stream to flow more easily.
You can feel the potential power of a free flowing stream within yourself, but you don’t know how to move the logs. I help you find ways to move the logs and become more of who you are at heart, the free-flowing stream.
You Might Recognize Yourself Here
“My life is fine.” You tell yourself these words, while at the same time, knowing you’ve sensed deeper connections, greater potential, and more meaningful living. Your molded self points out that you have a great job, stable relationships, and live in a beautiful community. While there is no obvious crisis, what looks “perfect” from the outside feels hollow on the inside. You can feel that there is another level, you just don’t know how to get there.
You hide yourself from others
Not necessarily in a heavy way, but when most people around you brush off something that you perceive as significant, you quietly keep that thought to yourself. You have always noticed this about yourself and may have learned to hide it.
You sense there is more
For years, you have been feeling like there is a version of you who is waiting to come forward. The version who brings power and joy to their life and work. You haven’t given yourself permission to become this person. After all, you have a perfectly good life, why do I think there should be more?
You are tired of managing
You put a lot of work into “being okay”. And it’s quite functional, everything runs smoothly, as expected. All of that “doing”, however, is exhausting. What would it look like if you didn’t work so hard at being just okay?
How This Unfolds
Three movements. One direction.
Be Here
The first work is being here in the room. Look around. Feel the floor under your feet. Dr. Moss starts here every time, regardless of what you are carrying. Safety first. Everything else follows. This is more than talk therapy, it’s a whole-body conversation.
Find Your Spark
Once you are here, you talk and wander, and the path begins to find you. We get to know the parts, the patterns, the things that happen automatically and the reasons they developed. Not to tear them down but to finally understand what they were protecting. This is where your powerful spark emerges and energy starts to flow.
Let Go and Flow
Wisdom surfaces when there’s space for it. You’ll know when you start having little births of yourself, moments where you think, “Hey, that’s me. That’s exactly me.” You’ll feel it in your body. Your wisdom was there all along, buried by the molded layers you gathered over decades. Dr. Moss is always watching for this stage and helps you recognize it and use it to grow.
You Don’t Need A Mental Health Crisis To Begin
You might be thinking, “Something has to be wrong enough first", before reaching out.
Dr. Moss works with people who aren't necessarily falling apart. They just know there is an urge to grow.
Coming here doesn't mean something is wrong with you. It means something in you still cares.
